Standard vrs ride height

Featured Replies

Looking for the standard ride height of the mk1 octy vrs.

I know vrs are 15mm lower than standard. Ive lowered mine with what appears to be golf 35mm springs.

From floor to arch my current ride height measures 65cm front and 63cm rear, the front doesnt seem any lower than standard vrs so just wondered if somebody would mind measuring their standard height front and rear. Must also be on standard 205 50 17 for accuracy.

I should have measured before and after but didnt think id have a problem

Thanks in advance

Ive just measured mine the other day. Someone asked for it. Mines just had new shocks all round with new top mounts so all pretty fresh. All are from centre of wheel to arch.

Front driver side : 37 cm.

Rear driver side : 36 cm.

Other side almost the same bar a mm or 2

I have a vRS brochure at home with factory measurements all over it, will let you know.

This is a standard car, should help.

Thanks mate, alot of useful measurements but not what I actually need, plus this is a standard octavia not the vrs. Thanks anyways, it will still be handy

Floor to arch mine is

627mm front

625mm rear

Ooops just read lol

Mines lowered, half a brain today

Interesting tho reading heights as my kw say they drop 65mm and pass front is fully wound down

Hmmm

Lol no worries mate.

Vrs are 15mm lower than standard octavia, and mine is supposed to be 35mm lowered which will only be 20mm on the vrs. So if im measuring 650mm on front and thats 35mm lower than standard non vrs then standard no vrs should be 685mm. your measuring 627 on your front thats 58mm lower than standard, in theory you should be sat at 620mm on fronts but that is all based on the assumption mine is lowered 35mm and standard non vrs is 685mm.

These are all guesses hence I could do with a few measurements from standard vrs's

Haha either way im out of threads

Id prefer my front down a smidge more really

620 front n back would be nice

But until i can waste funds on some fk's i be stuck :(

Golf springs are completely wrong for the Octavia, the rear of the Octavia is much heavier than a golf so an Octavia needs different rated springs on the rear.

Where do you measure to and from for the height?

Mines standard altho my suspension is 11years and 132k old but i can measure anyway. I was behind a normal octavia in traffic recently and my car sat loads lower

I just sit it on flat level ground the measure from floor to start of arch ( in middle )

This

Front 665mm

Rear 650mm

It's easier to measure from wheel centre to arch. Measuring from floor to arch doesn't account for different sized wheels/tyres

Front 665mm

Rear 650mm

Cool, i'll prob just stick the standard springs back in the rears

I measured mine from floor to arch standard alloys and tyre sizes

Yeah it changes with tyres, but does help giving idea what may scrape :D
