Clay mitts are basically a cloth base which is dipped in polymer rubber, But heres the thing the gloves we are supplied with at work are cloth gloves that are dipped in polymer as shown here.....

I'm sure you can see where i'm going here. There is a lot of gloves on the market that are polymer dipped so i'm thinking these clay mitts,is it a supply and demand thing so they can charge £10 or £15 for one. When i had a clay mitt in one hand and a polymer work glove in the other they both smelt, looked and felt the same. So folks discuss....

Conspiracy?

Only one way to know for sure.

I have my rotary polisher and a ticket to Belfast international on standby :D

Also, can you get me some of those gloves?

Have some garden tidying to do and would be ace

I think if you were going to give it a go it would be better to use a new pair not some old sh1tty pair thats been lying round the garage.

Yeah better do that!

Go on go on go on go on go on go on go on....   :giggle:  :D

I am not a great "detailer" but do find the lower section of doors and sills are difficult to keep clear of tar and general dirt. Would you advise me to get some clay mitts for these areas?

thanks, Andy

Yes Andy

BUT

Always use some tar remover first and then finish off with the Clay mitt..using plenty of soapy water or detailing spray to avoid marring the paint

Ste if you seen my garage you might laugh (or not) it's my little haven in a busy world. I keep it like a room in the house, a while ago got Freeview TV fitted and a couple of weeks ago got a vinyl floor fitted because i had tried garage floor paint but not a great job. So defo not a clear out because if i don't use something i bin it, i hate hoarding crap and the like. It's funny sometimes when i'm out in the garage faffing around and say it's lunch SWMBO will just bring my lunch out to me and i'll sit in my Gumtree office chair and scoff it;....Sorry don't get me wrong i'm not being smug and blowing my own trumpet (i wish) im just saying how much of a foking weirdo i am...... :p  :coffee:      PS i'm sure there's a lot more just like me.!!
