This 'SD' card slot

Featured Replies

What do i do with it, and how do I put music on it?

Even my youngest doesn't know!  :o

Do you just push the card into the slot  I presume?

How do you get it back out again? Push it like in my camera?

What'll happen if I put the SD card out of my camera in there?

Will it display on the screen what's on it?

tar.

Into pc or superb?

Sorry. The wireless in the Superb.

Don't think my pc has a slot for one tbh.  :notme:

.....just looked. No, just the slidy in and out tray  for cd's and 2 usb stick thing holes.

A green and a red jack plug too, all on the front.

Insert SD Card into PC (may need to buy additional hardware pictured) unless you have one built into your PC/Laptop.

Buy a decent size SD card (32GB+)

Copy music files onto SD CARD (drag + drop),

Go to (My) Computer, find Removable Hardware Right click and Eject card OR bottom right hand corner usually a green arrow right click and select the SD Card.

Push into Superb, and push in (like your camera) to pop out.

You dowload tunes onto your computer in either .wma or mp3 format and transfer those to the SD card. You do NOT download them in iPlayer format.

Put SD card in the slot and gently push in.

Top row of the "radio" display will show "SD card" and tunes will magically come out of the speakers.

If you wish to remove said card gently press again and the little gnome inside pushes it our at you.

No it will not display the pictures from your camera.

Just lobbed a plug into the socket into my reel to reel and cassette  tape recorders back in the 60/70's.

Job sorted.

.

None of this faffin' about with additional hardware  programmes downloads and bibs and bobs , doh.  :wall:

mp3 and wma formats mentioned above, but just to clarify, it won't play mp4/aac audio. May not be an issue for you, but mp4 is pretty common these days (default format used by iTunes), so you would need to convert any mp4 files before copying them to your SD card, or (if ripped from CD) re-rip/import to mp3.

The MDI interface (if you have it) will play any mp4/aac files you have on an iPod however.

Also, the SD slot probably won't let you insert the card the wrong way, but the side with the metal connectors should facing towards the screen (it's that way round on my Amundsen anyway).
