Fabia sdi interior light problem, part required

Featured Replies

Hi,

This may help other members. When the door carrier is lowered, strain can be put on this cable, unless the plug is undone(not easy to do).

I need the two wire cable (brown, and brown/yellow)which has a 2 pin female plug. This  plugs into the drivers side door lock, inside the door. My plug has one locking clip broken off, causing a poor connection. It need not have the full cable length (lock plug to plug at door hinge),as I can solder it to my cable. Can anybody help please?

If you do manage to find a new female plug, I would suggest this - I found it much easier to cut the door lock wires on the Card side and then use simple connectors once you have re-fitted the door metal plate - It allows you more freedom to juggle the metal plate around without chancing cutting the outer wire covering.

Hi,

I  thought of cutting the cable front side of the barrier. removing lock complete ,hot gluing plug into socket, and like you suggest join cables outside the barrier. I am hoping somebody might come up with one ,where they  have got a complete lock with plugs from a breakers( as you know breakers always cut looms to retrieve a part, becase its quicker than unplugging).

thanks for your reply and suggestion

I am positive that I have read on here that they are available from Skoda dealers, they will only be a few pounds.
