odorless fluids

Featured Replies

Are there any odorless fluids used in the octavia?

I cant think of any which have no smell.

I ask as I noticed a leak under the car, it appears to be coming from the undertray which is pretty much under the drivers seat.

Im thinking that its some water from this mornings rain (drove to Kent this morning and it was ****ing it down) which hasnt evaporated and it now dripping off the tray.

Its got no odor at all so this is all I can think it being. Any other suggestions?

Water from the aircon?

thats the other option i was thinking. Is it odorless from the aircon?

Its just condensation so water, hence no smell.

Exactly, and when it is very humid (such as the past few days) you can really get a large amount of condensed water dripping from the air conditioning.....especially after a long drive. The other day there was so much water dripping from my air con it made me look twice to make sure there wasn't a leak.

^^^ Ooh! I thought the first time.

Just condensate from the air con.

I noticed the same thing the past few days. The aircon on my fabia did the same if I was parked anywhere long enough, the octavia seems to do it quicker.

But as there was never any residue or smell I just assumed water.

Yes in this hot weather you'll really notice the AC ditching the condensation its gathered whilst on; there is a small pipe under the car where it drips out from.
