Extended Wheel Bolts

Featured Replies

Ordered some 15mm spacers for the rear of my car.

I know I need M14 x 1.5 bolts with a radius seat as I'm using OEM wheels.

Just need clarification on the length I need. From my searching the standard length is 27mm so you add the 15mm which makes 42mm.

Buying from JJC/Demon Tweeks and can only find 40 or 45mm bolts. Which would be best?

Cheers,

Ben.

I'd just go for the 40, better to be a turn short than a turn to long and damage something like abs ring etc!

Is that what you had when you had 15 on the rears mate?

Mine came with them but I'm 99% sure they were 40mm too :)

Cheers! I'll get some ordered. Wheels are looking lost now I've taken the adjusters out on the rear!

What wheels you got?

I had spacers and loved them.....but just a bit unpractical, car used to catch with people on the back and sides of the car get dirty quicker etc

Just using standard wheels for now. Why I thought to go 15mm instead of 20mm.

What set up did you run? From your build thread I read 20mm at the back. Was that with the adjusters removed on your AP's ?

I had 20mm on the rear but it caught arches and ripped the paint off. 15mm after that but it's still chipped my arches again and used to catch with people in the back.

I'm still using adjusters on my APs :)

Hmmm! Maybe I need to re think this then. Don't want any paint damage!

Paint damage from the 15s is just stone chips mate.

Where as with the 20s it was the tyre hitting the arches and burning through.
