Rear central cup holder warm?

Featured Replies

As the title says, the rear central cup holder on my Sport is warm when driving, to the point where the chewing gum pot I keep in there is noticably warm if you pick it up, mostly on the one side.

Is this something normal that I've missed until now, or do I need to be concerned?

Thanks in advance lads!

I wondered why my bottle of ice cold water got warm quickly today. :dull:

Maybe from the exhaust underneath? I'm sure the box is about there on the citigo. sun hitting it?

It's certainly not sun hitting it. It may well be the box or something, I just find it weird it's only the one little area of it that gets warm and that I've only just noticed it!

The exhaust runs through under there. Maybe this?

Mines not warm/hot though.

Do not appear to have this on my car,cup holder is at 'normal' temp' after a 12 mile journey

Hidden feature? To keep your coffee warm in winter. :giggle:
