Parking sensors

Featured Replies

I've got 2 dead sensors on the front and 2 dead on the rear which has stopped the system working, no display or sound. If I took the good sensors from the front and put them on the rear would I at least get a display for the rears?

No. There needs to be a complete set of 8 sensors functioning to get the thing to work.

Thanks for that just thought it would be a cheap fix as I don't really need the front. Any idea of best place to get sensors to avoid dealer costs or a part number for a 2005 2.0tdi elegance?

Assuming its a Mk2 2005 Octavia, it should be 7H0919275C for the front & rear sensors.

I replaced 2 faulty ones on mine by buying from a breaker on ebay- they had a car the same colour so I didn't need to get them painted. I think they were £20 for the pair, posted, so a lot cheaper than new + painting from a dealer. Bit of a faff to fit though.

Agree with Paul. They are a faff and a breakers yard (online or physical) is going to save big pennies over the dealer.

Although some sandpaper and spray kit (from the dealer) will see the colour changed for less than £20 and a bit of work.
