What is a Fakra pcb on Columbus sat nav stereo

Featured Replies

I have just been told the above failed on my sat nav and a voltage surge caused it. Anyone ever heard of this please? Or what it does? Googled the image.

Its the board that takes the GPS signal from the roof antenna into the radio to control and facilitate the GPS capability.....assuming your car had factory nav and isnt a retrofit. Could the car have been struck by lighting perhaps?
