OEM audio upgrades for estate?

Featured Replies

I'm just wondering if there are any upgrades/addons I can do to my Octavia, a 2012 Elegance estate with the Swing head unit and bluetooth. Was there ever a factory subwoofer available, for example? And where would that subwoofer go?

Only option was the 12 speaker Premium Audio. No sub but each door effectively had tweeter, mid and bass speakers. Dont quote me on it but pretty sure it ran off a 4 x 45w amp under the front passenger seat and think it was CANbus controlled so needed the appropriate cabling and coding.

Not sure if anyone has ever successfully retrofitted this to a Mk2 as the OEM parts would have been expensive.....the door trims with the extra speaker hole for example would have been a good £150/200 each alone.

Personally I think the stock 8 speaker system is just brilliant in the Mk2; absolutely wipes the floor with the stock Mk3 system which lacks punch, is very shrill and doesnt go very loud.
