exhaust question please help

Featured Replies

Hi all not long had my vrs but just won a SPORT cat and downpipe on ebay for £105. It is off a seat leon 1.8T 2003. Was only on car week so he says as car blew up. It looks new still so happy days. My question is will it fit on my 2001 Vrs?

Should fit ok, May need adaptors to fit your center section but that depends on what it has come with. Also you may need a spacer for the post cat lambda, I have read about the sport cats throwing up the cel light but you can pick them up off eBay for about a fiver.

Thanks for quick reply. Centre section should be fine as it used to have de-cat so already has a sleeve replacing bit of standard exhust. The sport cat comes with 2 lambda slots pre and post cat if thats any good?

then yes should be ok.

All 1.8T 150bhp and 180bhp transverse engines use the same Exhaust manifold weather K03 or K03s turbo which means cars like Audi A3, Seat Leon cupra(not R) , Golf 1.8T , Skoda 1.8T(not 4x4) , VRS etc have the same downpipe/cat arrangement.
