Scrapping a full set of metal work for seats minus the interior which I'm keeping for spare (seats are golf mk4 style, recaro and full height adjust passenger and drivers side), but might as well remove the belt part from the rear middle belt.

What type of metal are the bases made from? Because I have like 100kgs of the stuff in my loft now. But just Googling scrap prices, I assume it's heavy steel? So at like 5p/kg, think I'll take it to my local chip shop owner who collects scrap and get a free kebab instead lol
