Most powerful Octavia TFSI

Featured Replies

What's the most power been had out of a TFSI vRS?

Iv done a search and doesn't seem to come up with anything, and was curious if it also had a build thread or something like a little write up, ya gotta know your potential! Haha

I suppose if you start going hell for leather with these things you get to a point where power will start to affect drivability, particularly on a front drive car.

I've heard of a few people sticking KO4 conversions on them (obviously turbo but also S3 injectors, HPFP, FMIC, full intake and exhaust) and seeing 320/330hp and mid/late 300's lb/ft torque. Most replace the clutch and some have gone with an LSD to kerb the front end fight.

The later TSi motors already have big injectors and HPFP so a bit less work and can probably make slightly more power.

I would hazzard a guess if you went down the line of more fuel, more boost (an even bigger turbo) and strengthened internals you could comfortably see well over 400hp from either motor but in a 2wd car with no diff it would be unusable.

That would make for a quick vRS; personally Id just go with something S3/KO4 based (Golf ED30/35, Leon Cupra/Cupra R, Golf or Scirocco R) and just map it and you be 310/315hp with all else standard.

Defiantly LSD in my opinion, heard so much and read so much that agrees

A Bulgarian guy who posted here 4 years ago, had his 1.8Tsi Scout to 343PS. K04, and loads of other stuff.

Surely with ko4 turbo, injects,DP, FMIC and FP mapped up ud push big bhp; not holding back ,

Anything above from a ko3 stage 2 and above and defo a ko4 conversion would need an uprated clutch and IMO an lsd

I can work around not having an lsd but in the wet or less then desirable conditions you really need it in a fwd car. Ive been in a couple of modified octys with an lsd and its a huge improvement when trying to get the power down.

When my k04 and WMI goes on I should be looking at around 370-380 bhp. It will all be going in when I have the money for the LSD. I have just about every other mod except for big brakes. I think I will def need them ;)

Yep stick some brakes on fella :peek:

just achieving a "max" figure for boasting reasons is a bit pointless if it detonates - asking what people have in a daily driver is probably a better question.

there's  a few guys on the mk5gti forum (tsi/tfsi engines like the vrs) with some big power mods on daily drivers:  hurdy's golf has 500 IIRC:  http://www.mk5golfgti.co.uk/forum/index.php/topic,52245.2610.html

in an octavia then alex (aks tuning) currently has hybrid k04 with WMI but he's building a new unit with a big turbo and best-of-everything.  should be pretty epic when its done
