Ive looked on the map for a local VCDS owner and when I go the profile, i've tried to post the question I need doing but its not accepting it, how do i contact them please.

If you hover over the user name ater a second or two it brings up some details about the user. One of the options is to send a message (PM Private Message) best way to contact a user.

 

I cant remember if you have to have a certain amount of posts before you can use PM's. Someone might be able to confirm this.
