Skoda Keyless Defekt (defektive)

Featured Replies

Hello,

This morning I tried opening my Octavia with the kessy system but it did not work and then I noticed "Keyless Defekt" in the informational display. Is this anything I can fix myself? Unlocking the car with the key works fine.

Thanks!

Have you tried your spare key?  Maybe the battery is duff????

Edit - I assume the car started OK so maybe not the battery.  Worth trying the spare and if that fails, a visit to dealer is probably required.

I'm on holiday so I can't try the spare key but I'll try it when I get home. The car starts ok...

I have the keyless system and recently found the key swirling around inside the washing machine.

Needless to say took it out, let it dry in the sun and it still works!

I was surprised.

I can only imagine the horror of how much one of these KESSY keys will cost from a dealer!
