front grille badge

Featured Replies

Hi anyone know where I can buy one of the above not to sure at the ones I'm looking at as not sure if there stick on ones or like original where they are held on by to bits of melted plastic. Thanks for your time

I got one from my local breakers yard. 2 rear discs & 4 nearly new pads plus badge.... a Tenner

PS, I over painted the badge with swmbo's clear nail varnish as they do suffer with peeling

Held on with circular double sided sticky pad,  I blobbed a bit of no nails to re fix.

Thanks for the replies this has given me a idea of what I need

Depends which badge you're talking about....  If it's the 'V' badge that sits on the slatted part of the grille then you can buy them off eBay no hassle! If you're doing that though why not go for the Octavia one like I have - it's so much nicer and sleeker. Dan has gone for a Mk 2 one IIRC, so that's another option.

The badge itself is self adhesive and sticks to a black piece of plastic of similar shape. That plastic is bonded to the grille itself. When I bought my Octy one I just pulled both parts of the original straight off and then bonded the new one onto the grille. Easy job really :)

My original one was held on with the two pegs melted. Kind of like a rivet

Was it? Ooh, I thought they were all self-adhesive.

Original badges had the pegs melted to the back of the chrome.

If your getting a new badge why not upgrade to the new black style ones ?
