When driving and acelerating it beeps and the handbrake light flashes it only did it now and again but its getting more often now any body had/having the same issue and be able to shine any light on it?

Check your brake fluid

If your brake fluid is low then check your front pads and disks. If they are worn this can make it seem like you have lost some brake fluid.

Brake fluid low, or possibly the HB warning switch is out of adjustment. Leave checking that until you've done the other cited checks though.

Low brake fluid

I think it happens when accelerating hard due to the 'level' of the fluid rushing to one side of the reservoir and possibly therefore activating the sensor.

Tighten up (but not too tight as to shear the threads) the bleed nipples on all four of the brake housings.

On a dry day, when the car has been sat for a good few hours, get under and check thoroughly all of around each brake caliper, if there is any wet or damp, that will more than likely be the source of the problem.

I had the same after changing the brake fluid and not tightening one of the nipples up enough.

Let us know how you get on (Y)

Yeah! That will be fine just check you still have a useable amount of meat on brakes first

A little black smoke on start up, and even sometimes when giving it a good foot to the floor treatment, is normal - was the black smoke when it was started from cold?

As long as there wasn't a plume of it flowing from the exhaust, I wouldn't worry about it.

Not sure however, about the 'juddering' "kangaroo style" problem.

Yea theres abit on them there ready for swapping but al top it up fpr now cheers lads

Apparently he said it was a pipe/maybe something to do with the turbo! Yeh i think it was from cold as he drove it out of the garage an i had a slow drive down the road in it but wanted to find out as much as i could before buying it!

I 've booked my vRS in for a brake fluid change (not comfortable with trying it myself yet, mechanic priced it at £30 to £40 so happy to pay that for peace of mind) as it is overdue going by the 2 year interval suggested + the brake pedal feels a little spongy which I am probably foolishly assuming is related to the fluid needing a change (or it could be an air bubble/lock in the system?). Anyway, noticed the manual is quite clear you need to get it changed every two years otherwise 'serious accidents' can occur. Just wondering, anyone had any problems i.e. lack of brakes/car accidents by not changing the fluid as suggested? I'm pretty naive but why should the fluid be changed other than to remove air bubbles/locks?

but why should the fluid be changed other than to remove air bubbles/locks?

Because brake fluid is hygroscopic which means it absorbs moisture from the air. Moisture in brake fluid can cause it to boil leading to brake failure and can also corrode internal brake components.
