fly eyes kit

Featured Replies

hey,

has anybody on here used a fly eyes kit to tint there headlights and tail lights? are they as good as they seem? are they 100% legal? is it as easy to fit as it looks etc?

They specifically state on their website "for offroad use only" read into that what you like.

For the kit, it looks ok from a distance, but close up does not look so good.

ah I must of missed that part lol I want to tint my headlights and tail lights but have never done anything like that before, if you've got any suggestions it would be much appreciated :)

I agree. Met a member at Combe a few years ago with it on and is exactly as you say.

I used to have subtle-tint Lamin-X (the lightest they do I believe) and is completely different close up to Fly-Eyes. No tiny holes as it is a wrap of sorts I guess?!

Search in Ebay or google. Can't say if it has the same warning on the packet as the Fly-Eye stuff but it will diminish your light output so you may want to consider upgrading your bulbs if you do decide to put it on.

I no longer have it on.

Agreed. I had it on my Octavia and took it off after a couple of weeks. I wouldnt bother.

Just to add to this, genuine lamin x is air permeable,

meaning that if you do have a bubble or two in it after application, over time said bubble will

fix itself without having to compromise the water resistant integrity by sticking a pin in it to get rid of the bubble.

I don't think the copy lamin x does this. Maybe that's why the real stuff is so expensive.
