Help me burn a DVD! Please!

Featured Replies

Oh. My. God.

How hard can it possibly be to burn a flaming DVD?!?

Arrrgh!!!

Weirdly it's not something I've ever really done.

I have a 1 hour vid file in avi and wmv and I all I want to do is make a DVD that will play on a TV!

Can I do it? Can I ****.

It was initially made in movie maker, which was painful enough trying to make it export. It refused to burn it to DVD when I asked.

I have found one converter that will change it to vob but it will watermark it.

Is there any way I can get this god damn file on a DVD?!

FFS!!!!!!

Thanks

Getting it on a DVD shouldn't be a problem, but getting it in a DVD playable format may be. What sort of DVD player are you using? Most of the modern ones/bluray can usually read lots of file formats, or even have a USB port.

happy to do it for you but would need the AVI file

John

what about those avi to dvd proggies that a quick google brings up, are they not any good? ive never used anything like it so cant comment but if its crap just delete the file and start again, worth a punt

Thanks guys :) though I am kind of back to square one in that the 1 hour file that had been exported is actually only about 10 mins long and the rest is black!!

Honestly, I am so frustrated with this! If I hadn't spent so much time making it I would just start again in another program!

Jeez :(

If you PM me I might be able to help you.

My DVD came with Nero which gives the option of data or other. However if it's format problems and you need to convert, I'd look on either TUCOWS.COM  OR Download.com for a freeware file converter.
