Installing indirect TPMS

Featured Replies

Hi all,

Finally got round to installing the TPMS switch that I got from Eddie a year or so ago, but I can't find which pin I'm supposed to connect to on the ABS pump.

Can any one advise which is the correct pin please?

Thanks :)

What ABS pump part number do you have fitted?

Have you got esp and hill hold? It is 41 if you have.

I knoe Mike H used a different pin as he didn't have hill hold, cant remember which. What did you use kb?

Been trying to find it - 16 I think, but don't quote me on that.

(Right, back in for a mo, with a cup of tea!)

KB: No idea, will have to look that one up.

Adam: Yes, ESP and HHC :) :)

(Did try and get all the boxes ticked when I was looking ;) )

Sound like it should be 41 then.

Yep. 27 which is one option is taken by the HHC pin so 41 is the alternative in those cases. Works well for me (I also like my too so looked for a car with them too!!!)

before you fit post up what ABS you have

If you have a

Mk60 ABS / ESP = Pin 27

Mk60 EC1 ABS / ESP = pin 35

Mk70  Pin 7 ABS / ASR

Will Hill-Hold make a difference?

Quick question as i've partially installed mine.. which cable route did you go through into the engine compartment? did the interior part but ran out of time trying to find a nice way to get it though into the engine!

with HHC

from may 2007  = pin 41

from may 2008 = pin 35

Remove the glovebox and rummage around the back as there is a rubber grommet with other wires passing through.

You'll need to remove the battery box in the engine bay as well and it's more visible from there.

Interesting I have the same part number and mine was 41, although the car was manufactured in June 2008. Probably the part is a bit older, so definitely worth checking the date stamp on the part in dates close to these.
