I'm from Auckland, New Zealand and I'm currently looking very seriously at the Skoda option.  Currently have an NZ new 2006 Honda Civic and a 2002 Japanese import Nissan Skyline 300GT in the family.

Hi Simon,

I'm looking at the Octavia Mark 3 lift back. The 1.8 TSI Elegance model specifically. We don't do enough kilometres to justify a diesel so the petrol lineup is what we're focusing on.

I posted some questions in the buyers forum a few hours back. I'm sure there'll be lots of suggestions and opinion.
