Are you asking to be able to watch the DVD while moving? If you are I think it can be overridden using VCDS and changing the cut off speed from whatever the default is (5kph?) to something much faster.

Or by changing to one of the firmwares available online.

Mine has this since i updated the firmware to 4120.

If you are caught with any video playing forward of the rear seats whilst the car is in motion then expect a "driving without due care and attention" prosecution, its simply illegal and you cannot claim its for passengers, as you can also see it.

Idiotic....seriously...

It will possibly depend on the laws in the OPs country. When you update the firmware like myself you don't get an option it just enables it by default. I'll never use it in motion myself it's just enabled.

I believe it overrides it by default even when the firmware hasn't been upgraded when you have the rear screens connected though.

There's no fear of me getting caught with it on..... I went in a taxi on holiday once with screens in the back and had to get out to throw up after five minutes!!!!! I can't even look at my iphone when I'm a passenger never mind watch a TV screen!!!
