I've just joined in.

The new Octavia is a strong possibility when I buy a new car in the beginning of next year.

I drove an Audi A4 2.0 TDI Sport today, and after that drove a friend's Octavia 2.0 TDI (with around 185bhp) and couldn't justify the difference of more than 10000

As to the diesel RS, yes it has been rumoured that there will be one. Approx 180 bhp as standard.

YES There IS a TDi vRS New Octavia due

170 bhp PD engine as used in the new Passat has been confirmed.

Also was told the other day that the Octavia vRS when specced with DSG will have paddle controls.

That was the engine I heard of, but wasn't sure it would be called (and specced as) vRS, since the Golf has that engine and has adopted another moniker, GT.

About the paddles, it is a good piece of news. Oh, indecisions.
