Hello First Diesel Car Owner!

Featured Replies

Hello I have just bought a Fabia vRS last week as I decided to get a fun diesel hot hatch and so far it is great fun even though its completely standard, it pulls well and is very good on fuel! I am going to modify it but nothing too crazy since it's only sitting at 54k so only basic things for now! Was looking at the PD160 air duct upgrade and a new filter (K&N or pipercross etc) to start off with and maybe an evolution chips remap which claims 45+bhp and 80+nm but i'm not sure if the clutch needs upgraded first and also decided to get the Octavia vRS Spyder alloys and eibach lowering springs to get me started. Was hoping to get a second opinion since most of you guys have likely been through this already! Here's a pic, CheeRS.

Nice looking car, welcome to the forum!

I once bought a  1989 Audi Quattro turbo which had been chipped to 250bhp but was a much nicer car to drive when i had to reverse it (insurance reasons at the time) back to its original 210 bhp . My 2003 Fabia VRS has always pulled like a train but they reckon that the 1.9 turbo engine has always delivered more than its 130bhp. Never driven a chipped Fabia VRS - hope your modifications are successful.

Heheh i merely drive a mk2 1.4tdi 80bhp, so nothing as fast as what youve just purchased :) . looking forward to a possible remap on it soon though, maybe after ive paid out for taking the daughter to disney :P
