Got phone call from dealer today they were very sorry to tell me you cant get a black edition rapid sport in white so I think we will get a rapid sport in race blue

Odd one that, as you can get the Spaceback black edition in moon white.

 

At least you should be able to order a Sport with metallic paint and nav for similar money to the edition if you so wished and the race blue does suite the car.

I've got a Race Blue Sport coming on the 1st September

Race blue rapid sport it is then 3month wait yikes dont like idea of rear drums hope it hasent got them monte got them but at least their hidden by thick spoke alloys

If anyone has seen a rapid black edition in the flesh can you tell me exactly what you get for your money in terms of extras? The skoda website is pathetic in terms of explaining the extras and the dealer I called up seemed to know less than me. As far as I can tell it jus looks like a rapid sport with black paint and satnav/dab radio - is that the case? If so it seems overpriced as it's more expensive than just a normal rapid sport I'm black plus satnav )if that makes sense) - am I missing something?

Yes it was a black edition I test drove it has just wot you said but I think skoda are puting £2000 towards it got my sport on pcp as long as monthly payments are ok im not bothered about list price

It's basically like the Rapid Connect. Based on the SE trim level and Amundsen HU.

I guess I'm a bit disappointed with the spec of the rapid black edition compared to all the other models - it seems like they've made an effort with other models such as roomster and fabia to make it feel like a special edition - the rapid version seems a bit pointless given the fact it's just a black sport with satnav.

The citigo is even worse. It's an se with black paint and alloys, yet it has a silly list price!
