DMF on way out?

Featured Replies

I have a manual 2011 Superb 170 estate which I love. It has 53k miles on the clock. One thing I have noticed is just as you put clutch in and just prior to its release, there is a small vibration on the clutch pedal, almost like gravel is underneath? The car can still be driven smoothly but I cannot imagine this sensation is normal. Any ideasor views please ?

Doesn't sound like the DMF to me.

The best way to test the DMF is to accelerate hard when it too high a gear (i.e. low speed / RPM). This puts the DMF under increased load and it will show any weakness through a sensation similar to clutch slip/judder.

It sounds to me as though your issue is more related the the pedal / clutch mechanism itself?

OK. Thanks mate. Hopefully will find out what it is. It's the only thing annoying me on an otherwise excellent car :)
