Standard or Modified how should I sell my car?

Featured Replies

Morning all ive got a Skoda Fabia Sport 1.2 mk1 06 plate and was after some advice weather to sell it as is (lowered on coilovers and 16 "black Montreal 2's) or as standard and sell the bits separately what do you think would make more money? Cheers guys and girls.

It usually pays to split and sell the car as standard.

Provided you have the replacement original bits.

But you need to decide if it's worth the hassle.

Fortunately you car isn't heavilly modified.

Modified 1.2 Fabias don't tend to sell too well! I'd strip the mods and sell separate to the car as Richard said!

as your car is a 1.2, you might be lucky to find someone who wants the looks but cannot afford the VRS model etc.

Id try it initially with mods, then if theres no luck, then try without. end of the day its a 1.2,  which will most likely appeal to those who cannot insure quicker cars

Yes sell it with the tag line of ideal first car!

Assuming that one day, you may decide it's to normal.

+1 for Taylor's point.

Might be lucky and get someone who wants the looks, but isn't interested in performance. Or who need a car to potter about in doing some short journeys.
