Blue flame exhaust

Featured Replies

I have been in to see Nigel at blueflame when I was on business in Skem, what does this exhaust / cat sound like at cruising on the motorway, general driving?

I want something that sounds better but not something that you can hear booming in the car, it is my day to day workhorse as well so I need one that is not in your face has anyone had problems with the 100CEL cat lighting the engine warning light or going into limp mode?

Anyone in the Manchester area willing to meet up so I can see for myself?

no cell light, no limp mode but it is a bit boomy at 65-75 mph

gonna out sound deadening in the boot to try an cut some of that out, do you have a hatch or estate?

mine's an estate, i think the hatch booms less

I have a milltek but have been in Fabia TDIs blueflamed vrs. It does sound better than standard in that you can hear the exhaust note above the engine noise but it is in no way intrusive or boyracer-ish. Recommended...

The 100cel cat does not cause any problems - just reduces lag slightly and gives a little more power

which car we talking about here??? I assumed fabia, but may be wrong. :D

I have an Octy vRS Hatch, anyone near stockport with one fitted to an octy?

Octy hatch here with no problems or CEL light.

Sounds fine around 70 and won't get boomy inless you boot it or your cruising at 90 on your private road ;)

Octy Estate vRS

Fitted to mine too, hiflo cat also.

Very quiet in my opinion, but i was used to 9.5K full SS system on the Teg which was crazy loud.

Best buy imo.

Octy 4x4, full system with 100 cell cat :thumbup:

maybe its just mine thats boomy

its wierd cos mine is quieter around 90 than 65/70

Full system fitted to a hatch. No rpobs with the lights at all...................I like the sound, not too much but enough when you need it.

Agree with Bengie, mine quietens out at speed.
