Scratches on brunello rosso

Featured Replies

I've got a few scratches on my 2010 reg Octavia whose colour is brunello rosso. The scratches are very shallow and look white.

I was wondering if anyone else with brunello rosso has had any success with removing scratches? I don't own a machine polisher - any recommendations for a scratch remover/polish that I could buy from an autostore?

Many thanks.

I've had considerable success with that colour...on two Superb's

Where are you SilasR?

If it's in a localised area & not the whole car then you could try Gtechniq P1.

Hi ChrisRs - outskirts of Glasgow.

Have you tried Gtechniq P1 on the brunello rosso?

Colour is not important because the car is coated with clear lacquer

P1 will work well if used with a hand polishing pad

Shame you're not nearer

It's a 3 hour drive to here from Glasgie

Hi ChrisRs - outskirts of Glasgow.

Shame - i'm not due up to Glasgow anytime soon - or i would have offered.

My family are around G82/83 side.

No I have not, but you are correcting the clearcoat, not the colour of the car, so it does not matter what colour the car is ;)

Thanks for all the replies. Going to give the Gtechniq P1 a try by hand polishing.

Will let you know how I get on.

Nice one - good luck

If working by hand, be patient, work small areas thoroughly.

If it isn't hard work and a bit of a pain in the ass, chances are you are going too quick :)

Pay off is the result

Best of luck.
