Theres a couple of threads on here about retro fitting the cruise control, from what I've heard Awesome GTI can do it for around £300 but it would be worth ringing them :)

Well done to you ,for having the balls to take the bull by the horns and invest in the vRS FOR MORE FUN !!

My MK2 was black with std SILVER ALLOY and chrome grill surround, though that was a classy look.

My Partner's New vRS is a stealth (all black look) very good but in my view not as classy.

Nice motor though

Hope you are now having much fun in your new wheels!!

Sorry Ray Winstone. "You'll Luv it"

Part number for vehicles after week 22 of 2012 is 5J2054690A (or 5J2054690 if the vehicle doesn't have Maxidot)

Is that the cruise control part number mate?

I didnt realise they were different units. I was thinking of getting both maxidot and CControl.

I guess id better get the maxidot first when i do!

Cheers.

I've quoted the part numbers for the cruise control kit which includes the stalks and the loom. If you're after upgrading to cruise and maxidot it shouldn't matter which you do first. I'm not sure what parts you'll need to order to upgrade to maxidot but at the very least it'll be a new instrument cluster and then maybe a wiring loom and/or a new CECM/BCM.
