superb combi stereo

Featured Replies

I have a 2010 superb combi elegance with a columbus head unit and what i assume is the standard speaker setup, trying to enjoy some music last night was horrifying to be honest. Anything over "normal" volume was distorted, scratchy, and at times painfull!

What are the options for upgrading?

Is there a factory upgrade avalible, and if so what does it include (external amp, speakers, sub?)

Or is my only option to rip it out and start again?

I have a decent 6" component set in the house, but i'm guessing the inbuilt columbus amp isnt up to much.

I'm not adverse to ripping it all out and starting again, but i'd like to explore all the options.

Cheers

I have the standard set up and it is fine. What media are you playing? iPod?

ipod, CD, radio

occasionally i like to open the windows get some good music on and turn the volume up!!!

is there a factor upgrade, or am i starting from scratch??

If it was just an iPod I would suspect the the media settings for AUX but if you are having issues with the radio then that's a different situation.

How loud do you have it?

I crank mine up to about 3/4 volume which I find is enough without rattling my ribs.
