Yeh garage had it in stock. Not 100% sure av gone for the right car. Never had a diesel before and its not really me. But just bought a house and having a baby so am being (reasonably) sensible for a change.

I'm sure you'll be fine - don't think there's been anyone on here who's bought one then regretted it? I presume you test drove one before buying? What other motors were on the possible purchase list?

Yeh i test drove it. I was originally looking for an octavia RS or Leon Cupra but the fabia was big enough and am really more of a small hatch kinda person. I imagine its a lot better with a bit more power, better handling and better brakes. So I'll have to see what i can do about it!!!

I have to wait another 6 weeks for mine :(

They're great "cheap" relatively quick cars.

Lots can be done to them to make them quicker too :D

Did set me thinking why Skoda never released a 1.8T version really, I'm sure that would have picked up even more sales for them really, having a petrol hot-hatch in the lineup too.

My fabia wasn't my first diesel, infact my first one nearly put me off them! But I'm now a diesel convert, I dont think I'd ever go back now. I'm sure you will enjoy the car
