Does this need blanking?

Hi guys, bought my mk1 fabia vrs with an egr delete. Today iv lost all boost... Just want to know if the pipe on the picture with a number 2 written on it should be blanked?? Cheers in advance :)

Thats your EGR cooler,imo it should be removed when egr delete is fitted,but lots leave it on.

 

If you look under your EGR delete you should see the other end of the cooler,it should be blanked off there or on the manifold itself.Look down below the pipe you have numbered 2 and see if the flexi pipe from the egr cooler to the exhaust manifold has been removed and a blanking plate fitted onto exhaust manifold instead of the flexi pipe :)

Sneezy little 2 hidden!

Assuming it's before 2006 and an asz engine yeah that should be blanked off.

If it's newer than check it isn't for coolant.

It's a 55 plate. Under the egr delete I have this open pipe??

So do both pipes need blanking off? Confused

Look down below the pipe you've numbered 2, manifold should be blanked off under there.
