Having a quote done to get my furby's roof resprayed in black tomorrow, something ive wanted for a while and since the rain gutters along the sides of my roof have cracked paint currently it will be a nice improvement + a repair in one.

 

Hoping somewhere around the £200 - 300 mark for the work to be done but not sure till i get my quote tomorrow from my local bodyshop, anyone else had this done or similar work done and know a rough estimate of how much it might cost before i go?

Aye this will be a black roof on a red fabia, i was considering getting some gigaro's but wanted something a little different, i settled on some black aftermarket alloys from dezent, but yet again after seeing some other variations on alloys / colours i am now unsure whether to stick with black alloys or take some silver ones to give some contrast.

 

Also, i was tempted by some 17" alloys before, but thinking i may stick to the 15's to which my car comes standard as they are ofc cheaper. depends if any nice looking 17's pop up anytime soon at a reasonable price ,

ps. i resprayed my uppergrill and mirror caps myself earlier in the year and changed the badges for new ones. they look ok but tempted to get them done professionally at same time as roof. also, removed my foil from my exterior b pillars after they began flaking so might get those done at same time haha, the cost goes up!

I suggest getting 16" Wheels, and you might get a good used set with good tyres, and then Plasti-kote what ever colour you want.

Maybe Spacer as fitted by O.C.D and others.

 

There is a thread with 'Sparkly' doing his 16" Winter wheels for last winter. Bought Silver & changed to titanium grey.

thanks for the replies . looks like ill be getting some 16" wheels eventually, but first i shall concentrate on the roof respray as money only permits this currently :P .

 

I rang tesco car insurance up and to my delight they told me that it would be no extra cost for me having my roof resprayed, and better yet ive been told that i could have the whole car done if i fancied, as long as it was done in skoda colour paints.

 

So black magic roof it is! -project black/red is a go! :P

Have you thought about getting a wrap on the roof instead? You can always switch back at sale time ?
