Rapid 1.2 86 v 105 PS?

Featured Replies

I've spoken with the dealer and he has told me that it is the Elegance that comes with the DIones. When I checked the brochure they aren't even an option on the SE yet the website gives me the option to choose them as a no cost option. I don't mind if I can't change the alloys but I would like to get the spec I want.

A not very up-to-date dealer then   :S

SE and Elegance are no more (unless from stock), long live the SE Tech and SE Sport   :D

It's the SE hatch that I'm getting, not the Spaceback, as there wasn't enough boot space for my needs. Plus I prefer the look of the hatch

I've also been told that my car is being made in week 39 and they are currently planning week 41 orders so I can't make any changes. I've gone back to them to see if I can go back down the queue. Kind of put a damper on getting the car now if it can't be changed.

In fact it's pretty much a deal breaker if the changes can't be made. I wish I knew as much when I bought the car as i do now.

Have you spec'd a shed load of options, or is the car fairly standard. If the later then there might be an unallocated car in the 'system' that might meet your needs :wonder:

Just a thought and worth asking the dealer if you've not already discussed it.

Hope you get sorted,

TP

The car I originally ordered was a standard SE with a spacesaver in the boot - the changes I wanted to make were to go for the standard 105ps Greentech with the spacesaver. The option online was to change the alloys to Dione 16"s for no extra cost other wise I'd just stick to the 15"s that it came with and maybe change the alloys a few years down the line if I felt that they needed changing.

Plus I've ordered it in white which is a standard no cost colour as well.

The dealer told me that they had to work that far in advance to make sure that they had any parts that needed ordered in before production which is fair enough but it's a standard model with no options other than the spacesaver.

I'm hoping to find out today and I'll keep you posted.

Cheers

Just tell them you'll cancel the order if it can't be specked to your requirements, they'll soon accommodate you.

Ditto to the above, at the end of the day its YOUR car and YOU need to be happy, its no good looking back after delivery saying ''I wish........ '' appreciate that you may feel or even maybe obligated to purchase your 'order' but there must provisions in the system to enable cancellations etc...........

best of luck, above don't settle for anything other than what YOU want

Well good news everybody - the garage have ordered a Rapid 1.2 105ps SE Green tec hatchback in Candy White with a spare wheel exactly like I wanted.

The only downside is that it may be December before I get it but I am getting the car that I want albeit a bit later than expected but an early Christmas present nonetheless

Couldn't be happier (unless I was getting it tomorrow)

I want to thank everyone for all the help and information I've gathered in the few short weeks I've been on the forum and look forward to my first Skoda since someone wrote off my pride and joy Rapid 136 all those years ago.

Good news. It's not that far away to wait [emoji6]

Very glad it's been sorted to your satisfaction and I'm sure you will be happier with the more powerful motor, albeit the wait is that bit longer.

Sad to hear your 136 was written off, we had one also and have to agree a great car but eventually let ours go for a Favorit.

Yeah I lowered mine, group N rally exhaust, beveled holes in the entire rear panel, braided brake hoses, modified grill similar to the rear panel with the holes, Steering wheel like a leather clad shirt button (remember no power steering then) and finished in Open Atlantis Blue.

I'd just picked up my new discs that a friend had cross drilled and was on my way home when I saw a police car with the lights flashing coming up the road ahead of me on the left hand side. I stopped to let him get out of the junction but the old boy behind me decided that he wasn't going to stop and ploughed right into the back of me.

It was easily fixable but because it had to go through the insurance and be fixed "properly" if was deemed a right-off so then followed:

1986 Ford Grandada 2.0 auto

1989 Ford Orion

1999 Fiat Punto - my first ever new car

2002 Vauxhall Astra 3 door SXi

2007 Vauxhall Vectra 1.7 (I think) drove exactly like the Grandada ie like a bed

2006 Honda Civic 1.8 EX

2013 Honda Civic 1.8 ES

The first Honda was the best car I'd owned since the Skoda as it was a lot of fun but the new one is terrible in comparison
