KPH to MPH

Featured Replies

Help please!

I have recently purchased a 2009 Octavia TDI Estate.

Unfortunately, there is a digital readout in KPH.....I understand this can be changed to MPH but it isn't something I can do? I would need access to the management system (VCDS?). Change to "Australia"???

So I contacted a nearby "VW Skoda specialist" - he wanted £40 + VAT - I thought that was a bit steep! I live in Doncaster - can anyone suggest somewhere to try? Is this something a "normal" garage should be able to do?

Cheers

Stuart

have a look on the vcds map and drop them a pm to arrange a time etc,  they should be able to sort you out.  most only want a pint or two so not as expensive as £40

Bear in mind if you want to drive on the continent at any time in the future you would have to change it back to KPH.

Isn't there a setting in the Maxidot (if fitted) that will enable the digital mph readout to be deactivated and also to revert back to the km/h display as opposed to the GB mph display?

There is, because I have just activated the digital display on a 2009 ('59) Octavia Vrs.

Top reset it back to the proper settings you will need to put the coding back to 'Great Birtain' as opposed to 'Australia' and make two changes in Maxidot.
