Dashboard problems

Featured Replies

Hi all,

Not been on here for a while but have a question that hopefully someone can help with. My sons Fabia has a few problems with the dash display, firstly neither the temp or fuel gauges are registering anything (they are not moving from zero) and the trip computer display will not switch away from its default position using the switch on the stalk. Anyone had this problem at all, is it likely to be poor connections on the dash connector as with other faults that I've seen on the forum?

The local dealer quoted £250 for the dash ECU, I know from experience that they don't do fault finding and will just keep changing bits until they are lucky enough to find the faulty assembly by which time you the owner are saddled with a huge bill.

Hope someone can help save him some money.

Cheers

Kevin

where are you in Norfolk?

also what year is the fabia?

Update on this. It wasn,t poor connections on the dashboard so still looking for help if anyone has had similar problems. Also the temp guage works and the dealer quote was £450 not £250 and thats just parts. Should read stealer not dealer.
