Dance radio coding for AUX

Featured Replies

Hello!

It appears that some time in the history of my Octavia the Stream has been changed for a Dance headunit. It has 3 pins for AUX in the back but they were not connected. I have connected a 3.5mm plug to them but am not able to change the input. I have tried pressing CD button and looked through the menus but there is no sign of AUX anywhere.

Maybe someone who has a Dance unit with AUX could share his coding.

The current VCDS (has not info on that unit) coding is as follows:

You need to enable aux first if I recall actually on the head unit. My Stream didn't have the option for Aux so I enabled it actually on the head unit. There is a YouTube video on how to convert the Stream to have an Aux in.

However I'm not sure if it's the same for the dance

I have attached the wiring just as described in the video. However, when I press the menu button as described in Stream and Dance manuals to enable the AUX only things that are shown are:

Learn: on               blank

Reg   : on              AF: on

Seek : dx               >  (to next page)

Pdc    : on            blank

Beep  : on            Illum: 2

Phone: on            Back...

It should be somewhere there I assume. However, the fact that it is not lead me to believe that the fault is in coding.

I'm not sure that the Dance has an Aux capability you know
