J&R CV Joints

Featured Replies

So then people, anyone have any experience with this company based in Birmingham?

I have ordered a CV joint kit off eBay and fitted it today. The quality seems very good on initial view. Kit was £20 and comes with new joint and everything needed to renew. I did however have oem grease and a boot so I've used those when putting everything back together.

Everything went together really well and they come with a 2 year warranty. Car is driving well so we'll see how it lasts!

I had 4 new driveshafts from them for my leon pd150

2 came with split boots

Then the next 2 had horrible horrible vibrations

Ended up bining the last as they gave me it for free after all my troubles!

Went with oem in the end and all sorted

Yes I've read a number of reviews from different forums saying they have had issues with complete driveshafts. I did think this cv joint was worth a punt though for the money.

It seems really well made. I suppose only time will tell.

Had to replace my cv after my hub spline was seized solid into my bearing, seemed ok to me nothing out of the od, done a few and it seemed alright quality, only two things I did was cleaned out the joint just to be sure, and used my own grease just through habit, been fine since no vibrations or problems to far

At first I blew it out with my air bottle then a little petrol to flush any crap out let me dry then packed it solid with grease, the iner spline and the hub spline were a nice tight fit but I did but a little cv grease on the out spline as there known to seize up like mine was
