Regulator gone maybe?

any guide to replacing the Regulator?

Spray into the vertical window guides with silicone spray, then try a few times to ease their way up to the top.

I can only really spray from the top, the holes don't really give me enough room to spray

also I cannot take the steel panel off

Lower the window to the lowest point, spray the vertical guides both sides and let it run down into the door, keep operating the window up & down and it will free itself, providing the regulator is OK. You don't have to disassemble anything for this operation.

cheers mate!

that worked, sprayed with wd40, it still stops half way up and then takes another 2 press's to fully close

seems like it will still lock up again later

what exactly is the problem so I understand?

I assume that because the guides are dry they are acting as a brake when the widow goes up, thus causing the regulator to think that because it's hard to push any further, that it's at the top and therefore stopping the motor.

However I stand corrected.

Mr Sheen silicone furniture polish works OK.
