Eml on with decat help

Featured Replies

I've got a sports cat that has been gutted on my octy (I didn't do it) and the eml is on. Sure the fault codes are p0036 and p0141 both relate to the lambda sensors anyway. So I bought myself one of these bad boys

Oooooh shiny :D and fitted it tonight

Cleared fault codes but after stopping and restarting it's come back on :( anything else I can do?? I thought these lambda spacers sorted it as it gives it a lower reading than the front one. Deffo not blowing from there and I can't angle any other way or it will be touching the heat shield or exhaust but can't see that making a difference myself.

Thanks

I'm not an expert on the me7.5 ecu but don't you have to disable the rear sensor in the map?

The spacers dont always work so will need to be disabled in the map

Luck of the draw with those lambda spacers. Some people find they work, some don't. I got the second lambda mapped out.

My mate isn't all that clued up on stuff like this so wouldn't of even of thought of asking for it to be mapped out so I'll have to live with it :(

When I finally get round to changing the turbo if it needs mapping again are you able to map this John?

Sorry Kyle not at the moment. I need to play with one first before going down that path. Suppose I should buy a 1.8t at some point lol

Yes you do!!! Would love one of your maps on it

As above, need to be removed from the MAP. Shame you're so far away.

ive heard that packing the spacer with wire wool might help reduce sensor reading aswell

Have you tired putting some really thin grade wire wool inside the "fooler" to help with the EML?

Did you get yours done? How did you get on with it?

Where did you get that right angle spacer jobbie from? I could do with one as my sensor is a bit too tight to the body for my liking.

eBay item no 231093801734 it was £8 delivered.

Had my disabled along with the remap.

Wish my mate had had it done lol. If I end up having to get it mapped again I'll have it done but hoping I don't need to!!

I'm sure one of the big mappers can patch your existing map for not a lot of money. Surely better than arsing about with right-angle this and wire wool that and it'll definitely work.

Mine does the same even with the 90 degree join as well mate. Clear the code and its back after 60 miles or so. I've just got used to it now.

Mine comes on after about a mile :D but I've left it not that fussed I just thought those spacers were meant to work :S

I'm picking up a ko3s turbo tomorrow as I've got a ko3 on at the min so might ring jabba sport and see how much to tweak the map for this turbo and disable the rear lambda. If it's stupid money I won't bother as it is just the wife's run around and abit of play toy for me to get me out of the furby on a weekend
