It's been discussed on here before but I can't find the thread.

What Polish can I use to get the scratches out of the clear plastic in front of the dials on my VRS?

This may sound daft and appologies if I'm on the wrong track but I thought I had scratches on my mk2 when it was new, but it turned out to be adhesive from when they assembled the dash at the factory so might be worth checking? I could only see it in certain light and the dealer used some solvent to remove it.

littleade defo scratches unfortunately. I've been a drongo and used the brush part of the Hoover on them! Never again.

I was finishing around a new security light on the side of the house and needed to go and buy a few bits and bobs from B&Q, so I got in the car and drove there not realising until a minute or so in that I'd had a big splodge of brick paint in the palm of my left hand which was now all over the gearstick. Idiot. I got most of it off quickly, but in getting the dried-on bits off later on I managed to dull spectacularly the clear plastic 'window' on the top with a billion tiny scratches. It looks horrible. Hopefully I can buff it back into shape with this stuff.
