Stainless Steel Pedal Fitting with Pics

Featured Replies

As promised here is a 'how to' guide for anyone wanting to fit the pedal upgrade from Skoda.

First off, removing the old accelerator pedal and covers from the brake and clutch pedals.

Use a small screwdriver to pop out the cover for the single torque bolt holding the top of the pedal, then remove with a T30 torque driver.

Next, unclip the bottom section, for the right hand clip, slide a small screwdriver underneath to release the clasp and pull up. The left hand clip can be released with a firm pull, being careful not to tug on the electrics at the top of the pedal. Here it is removed and you can see the two locator bolts it clips to at the bottom.

Next remove the electrical connector, use a small screwdriver to pop up the retaining clip and simply pull out.

Clip the electrics into the new pedal, remembering the locking clip. Then clip the bottom of the pedal to the locating bolts, secure the torque screw, not forgetting the plastic cover and it's all done.

The brake and clutch are straight forward, just peel away the covers and replace them with your nice new ones.

Have fun, it only took about 20mins :)

Great "How To..." that's whetted my appetite - this is on my to do list once I get my snow monster.

Is there a SS footrest available as well ?

Superskoda only do a left hand drive for some reason but it matches the set perfectly, I'm going to contact my dealership and see if a right hand one is available.

Let me know how you get on with them please. I thought I read somewhere that is was only the LHD pedal that was ever made and issued. They also have the LHD dead pedal on Skodadop http://skodadop.com/yeti-/interer-yeti/skoda-yeti-sportivnaya-nakladka-upora-levoj-nogi-original.html which is cheaper

Thanks again for a great how to..... Is it worth also posting it in the general guides area or the Octy and Superb guides sections seeing as it's a relevant guide to all three models?

Picked mine up yesterday and fitted them this morning....... Wasn't sure how they would look in an ivory interior car but I'm happy with the result. :)

Maybe mods could link it to the appropriate sections? :)
