Brake pad wear indicator loom broken

Featured Replies

Hi all

Vrs petrol 56 plate

My pad warning light is on and the part of the loom has broken (not abs part) - is there a replacement part I can splice in? Apparently there is for a golf Gti....

Thanks in advance

Anybody got any pictures of the assembly?

Part numbers?

I'm struggling to find the right part

Be just as well tying the rest up and having the light turned off with vcds

Thanks

I wanted to repair the existing loom... Any idea 0wl where to get the loom/connectors separately ?

Really need some pictures, I'm going a bit blind as I didn't see the part broken as it was my mechanic...

Sorry dumb question is there a downloadable data base of parts like the dealers use?

Difficult to tell from a side on view. It looks about right, but the rubber boot they've put on covers the slot on the neck of the connector used to hook the wiring onto the side of the hub housing to stop it hanging loose.

I think you'll find the connector and wire I gave the part numbers for are only about £2-3 each at a dealer, however you would still need some heat shrink tubing or tape to wrap the wires which the item you linked seems to have sorted already.

Owl when you say deal do you mean like stealers? Lol - so vw would not charge a few pounds for both?

Thanks for your help

That's what I'm going to do.

Thanks owl

All I need now is to find a cheaper fog light other than £88 from stealers

For the fog light, have you tried eurocarparts?
