I got a polisher!

Featured Replies

With thanks to Dinski, I got a lovely DAS6 machine polisher! This is my first time using one and I'm already in love with the results! I'm sure I can get a better polish on the next go but as a first time I'm pretty impressed with myself. Here are some of the photos that show the improvement of scratches and that. Also sneaked one in of a nice wheel trim change as well.

(there was some weird paint stain I could never get out)

I knew you would be good at it Alex well done.

Great to meet you too.

Brill results too.

Car looks ace since I last saw it.

What polish did you use in the end Alex?

Did you go for an AIO?

That's impressive results for a DA.  I'd be curious to know pad and polish choice. :)

Great work Alex...superb in fact for a beginner

Very well done

Great work, brought the colour back a treat.

I used PoorBoys Professional Polish and that's it. I put some of the PoorBoys Natty's Paste Wax on afterwards. I think I might have to try an AIO :)

Thank you very much :) I have no idea about the pad I'm afraid, all i know is that it was a green one haha. But I used PoorBoys Professional Polish :)

No you did good Alex. Well done.

As others have said you can even see its restored a bit of colour :)

If you do try an AIO give auto finesse triple a go, it's easy to work with, I think you will like it.

...or my favourite AIO:

Carlack 68

Glad you got the deal sorted with Carl on the DA.

Great work in the Fabia too Alex - looking fantastic.

Keep it up; hope you enjoy using the DA :)

Excellent work well done.

I got one too. Scary using it on my new vRS, but it's a doddle. Brought my Corrida red TSI up a treat. Looks stunning.

Good Effort!, really tidied up that arch. Looking forward to seeing the full car results now :)

Threads like this are really dragging me with disturbing inevitably down the path towards DA ownership. Might have to do suspension first though, doing both so soon after acquiring the rest of the detailing kit may send the bank manager into meltdown.
