PM Received, Thanks Samuir ;)

Site might not store details, but some clever hackers around, all sites wanting personal identifiable info should be secure IMO.

Hopefully he will get it sorted :)

Jackie should look after you for sure - he has certainly gone out of his way to help me a few times.

Good to hear this mate - glad Jackie looked after you

Spoke to Jackie earlier, he is hoping in the very near future to add security to his site. But he did emphasise that all payment details are secure as it's via PayPal.

Thanks for double checking on this Bob.

Exactly the response i got from Jackie, as per post #22 in this thread..... but the Horlick's moment that followed seemed to cast some doubt on that reply.

Thread resurrection !

I shall soon see how this performs :)

My original coat of Fusso 99 is starting to show signs of calling time (beading not so good now) after a bit over 2 months, I honestly didn't expect 12 months as it states, but was hoping for around 3+.

On the upside, it has kept the car looking clean, and only needing a wash and MF towel dry for that period, and so still rates as one of my favourites.

So I thought now was a good time to see how the Fusso spray does, goes on and off nicely as long as you do one panel a time (or half in the case of roof and bonnet). otherwise it will take a bit more effort buffing off.

Depth of shine looks pretty good, and car feels slick, I am sure I won't have to wait long to see how it beads with the weather at the moment !

Thanks for the update - i havent had chance to test my Fusso spray as yet  :(

Wow, that is hugely poor Durability resulty for the Soft 99 Fusso Coat.  Thanks for sharing, sometimes it is too easy to get lured into the hype.

I have seen 2 months from many products that you can lift from the shelves of supermarkets and Halfords.

Can you say if there is any chance anything in your process/wash method/other factor that could have severely shortened the life span.  Also how are you judging that the product is dying off?  Have you been applying any QD at all?

If you are going purely off beading, there is a chance that you are seeing a build up of shampoo residue, leftovers from hard water or something like this that a QD qould clean off exposing a fresh layer of clean Fusso that would begin to bead well again.

More than possible Sparkly, I was judging it purely on beading, even after washing this time around it was apparent their was some protection left, but hydrophobic properties not near what there was before.

My wash process was VP PH neutral snowfoam and 2 BM with lambswool mitt and autoglym shampoo, rinse with pressure washer and dried with large purple monster mf towels. It has to be said our water is pretty hard.

During that period, I also crossed the Irish sea on the ferry so some salt air too.

The 12 months claim was likely done in lab conditions, without acid rain and hard water ! but I feel the 99 is worth it because it helped keep the car looking clean during that time, including a week covering 1500 miles.

Because of the water here, I do usually give it a QD after washing, but in this instance I wanted to see how it held up on its own.

The thing is that QD originally was used for a last stage ultra light clean after washing to remove finger prints, settled dust and minor surface contamination.  Obviously they have developed to offer protection top up also.

I think 12 months is a long claim on a non-silica based coating but 6 should be achievable.  I will be interested to see what a spritz around of the QD does.

Hard water might have an impact if no QD afterwards, tough to know.  Thanks for the info though.

I have to back this up and admit that after applying this on the R36 back in June, 3 months on Fusso Dark coat had lost its lustre.

Not to say the protection wasn't there - but the flake pop and hydrophobic qualities had degraded for sure.

The car hasn't done many miles and maybe only been washed a few times in July but left standing for 2 weeks of August when

i was on holiday and 3 weeks of September when i wasn't detailing regularly.

I polished the car back last weekend and put on ADS Obsidian....as i fancied a change. Perhaps i should have put Fusso spray on instead?
