Big problems this morning!

Featured Replies

Hi guys, I set off for work this morning and was not 1 mile out of our village when a loud beep and the engine management light along with the heater plug light, traction control light all came on, even the oil light flickered on for a few seconds then went off, the car went into like a limp mode, would not accelerate was was very stuttery. I took it to my local Skoda garage at Maud in Aberdeenshire. They have been at it all afternoon and still do not know what is wrong!!!! any idea guys? or has anybody had a similar problem? think I can feel an expensive one coming on!!

Does battery light come on when u start car up?

Nope, new alternator fitted a few months ago, battery checked out ok.

VCDS should really give more clues with the amount of warning lights that popped up.  I wouldn't like to comment without seeing a scan report.

But does the battery light come on when you turn the ignition on without starting the engine? (I think that's what SkUG meant). If not, it points to a broken alternator load sensor wire.

Would a broken sense wire cause the issues I am having?

Im sure it does throw up the xmas tree lights when that wire goes bud.

You need a VCDS scan..............
