New Jaguar XE

Featured Replies

Full reveal and details at the Paris Motorshow.

PH described the interior is lacking, even weh comparing to the Audi A4 which they said was now deemed old.

I love Jags and wouldn't say no to any of them

Got to say those pics of the XE make it look a lot nicer than some of the early shots (and I don't mean the disguised shots!).

Interior looks so-so in my opinion. The row of switches/controls under the screen look as though they had no design input whatsoever and the dash in front of the passenger is as dull as anything this side of a Dacia Sanderro. Could have done with a bit of RR / Evoque interior design ethos, I think.

And whilst the exterior is not unpleasant, it's hardly revolutionary and looks like a 60% reduction of an XJ - a trick, in fairness, that their competitors use mercilessly!

I was prepared to look at it and say "nah I'd rather have an XF".

But that's actually very nice, I agree it's much better than the disguised car hinted at.

I would love a Jag, the old man in me hankers after an XJ.

I assume they're going to do an estate/shooting brake.

Have you already got a sheepskin coat and lots of gold jewellery?  :giggle:

Me Too.  It does look like a slightly smaller XF though.

Very nice.

However, if they've used Skoda's marketing guys then "Engines are all new, dubbed ‘Ingenium’ by JLR, the first of which sees a 2.0-litre, four-cylinder diesel that manages 75mpg" what they really mean is 60mpg.

Looks great. I'd quite fancy an XE-S Estate but I doubt it would be anywhere remotely near £27k lol!

Lovely, now all i have to do is move back home with the parents to afford one :D

Revealed tonight..I want! 27k starting price though.

Only a few hundred quid behind the comparable entry level 3 series diesel (316d Auto) and with 99g/km of emissions, the company car tax will be about £800 a year less (with the Jag XE). Let's be honest, Jaguar will be heavily targeting the fleet market.

Interior looks good, as does the exterior which certainly does look like a baby XF.

Really nice car and i love the Jag line-up at the moment!

Just don't have that sort of cash to splash out for now....

I'll wait for a used F-type maybe...

looks really well, but....

but from a couple of angles, the 45deg corner shots,

it looks like an A5 got a facelift??

Id still happily drive it though!!!

Not far off most Octavia 3 once spec'd

and I would say the XE would come reasonably well spec'd

....and let the reliability issues sort themselves out too!

F-Type sounds like a bag of spanners on idle.

Great on the throttle and then back to spanners again.

This month's Car magazine has more on engine range - 237bhp and 281bhp turbo 2 litre petrol fours from the Range Rover Evoque at launch, to be replaced later by new 'Ingenium' turbo 2 litre petrols, plus reference to a twin turbo diesel

This is looking like a contender for my next car but will be interesting to see how it compares with Superb lll
