It's the external temperature sender for the mfa/climatronic. It fits on the bumper screw next the bottom grill iirc.

This it should just pop back on as the clip is a push clip

Ahh, that's what that is.

I took off the front a while back and thought it might have been related to the air bag. So I handled it like it was dynamite. [emoji28]

If you pop out the passenger side lower grill. There is a slot where it locates into. It's then held in by a screw that is part of front bumper retaining. Mine dangled about for ages until I asked and found out where it went.
