i've searched the internet far and wide and i just could't find a pdf copy of the mk1 skoda octavia(1U2) brochure(2001-2004ish), even a scanned copy would be nice. i know that they are available in the printed form on ebay but none of them is local, i live in romania. so if anyone might know a place were i can actually find a downloadable version or something like that so i can reprint it and this time actually keep it. thanks

do the mirrors fold inside like octavia 2 or the  glass moves left and right when the electric mirror switch is used  please do reply

Yes, there are vents for the rear seats located under the fronts seats.

and  the mirrors fold in - manually, unless some of the higher spec models have electric folding, i doubt it though.

They have vents under the front seats? news to me!

Yep, they are by the seat runners.

about the mirrors what does the knob on the drivers side with R O L do ...

R = Right

O = Off / Heater

L = Left

 

Put that switch to which side mirror you want to adjust, then use the up/dn/left/right arrow buttons to adjust the mirror position.

O  off  means neither mirror will adjust if you press the direction buttons accidentally.

It also means that when the rear windscreen heater is turned on, to de-fog/ice it heats the mirrors too.

 

Going by you location though, i dont think you'll have to worry about frozen mirrors very often :DY

 

You can only edit posts for a certain time after they go up, But Im sure mr Clubley would oblige and remove it for you??

OH!! Edit -

 

Forgot to mention - When you adjust the left mirror, it adjusts the right mirror at the same time, but the right mirror adjusts on its own...

so adjust the left one first and then do the right, otherwise you'll have to fix it twice...
